POM POM

/ˈpämpäm/

noun: POM POM; plural noun: POM POM

1. an automatic quick-firing two-pounder cannon of the World War II period, typically mounted on a ship and used against aircraft.

2. a small woolen ball attached to a garment, especially a hat,

for decoration.

POM POM is vegetarian food for everybody. We serve classic, craveable fare that bangs like a cannon and comforts like a wool coat. By making burgers, melts, chili, mac, we’re taking on the myth that vegetarian food isn’t a center of the plate thing. (Not that we use plates. We keep it simple — it’s deli boats for us.)

We created POM POM for the unpretentious eaters, casual vegetarians, bodega buffs. We love delicious, scratch-cooked food that provides us a feeling of joy, and we formed POM POM to reflect that love of ordinary grub. Diners, delis, greasy spoons—these are an important part of POM POM’s DNA. So are fruit stands, locally-sourced veggies, and sustainable cuisine.

POM POM is comfort food. Our job is to supply solace and fuel, to create a space for hanging out with friends, and eating with family.

Enjoy.
